What: Save San Diego High Kickoff Rally

Where: San Diego High School, 1405Park Blvd., San Diego, CA 92101 – in front of main office facing Park Blvd.

Why: San Diego High School is located on City of San Diego property and a 50-year lease between the City and the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD) expires in seven years.  On February 3, SDUSD requested that the City of San Diego’s Charter Review Committee provide clarifying language in the CityCharter that would allow San Diego High School to continue to operate. The committee unanimously rejected this request. Without a charter amendment, San Diego High could be forced to closedown.  Alvarez and supporters will demand that the City join their effort to save San Diego High.
